The Alabama Public Health Association is organized as an independent body comprised of individuals representing various public health and health related disciplines. The official records of the Association, including the minutes of all executive board proceedings and the bylaws and procedures outlined on the following pages, provide the standard of operation for the Association, its members, and officers.
The original bylaws and the procedural manual were developed in 1957. The members of the original committee, as well as members of subsequent committees, formed to revise the manual are to be commended for their work in compiling this document. We hope it is helpful to the officers, committee chairpersons, and the membership.
